What are the timeframes for delivery of the master plan?
The master plan is a long-term vision for a multi-use sports precinct in North Rockhampton. Council has identified the first stage as delivering a new home for Rockhampton Netball. Further information on the implementation of the master plan and further stages will be provided on our website.
I’m a sporting club or association, how do I register my interest to be involved?
Council will be contacting sports clubs and associations over the coming weeks to provide further detail of the master plan. To register your interest email Sport@rrc.qld.gov.au.
What are the next steps?
Council has already begun engaging with State and Federal Government as well as key stakeholders to advocate for Stage 1 (a new home for Rockhampton Netball) with detailed design and costings identified as the next step to securing funding for the project.
Council will also be working with local sporting associations and clubs over the coming 12 months to refine future staging, governance arrangements and timeframes of the remaining components of the precinct.
