Mount Morgan Rail Trail - Preliminary Design

Plans for a multi-use rail trail from Mount Morgan to Gracemere are continuing to make tracks, with a preliminary design now available for review.

The design is the next stage of the project and incorporates a wide range of feedback received from the community in the first round of consultation- reviewing the project’s concept design.

The preliminary design now provides a detailed look at the proposed track, its final route and the type of surfaces at certain sections of the trail.

Council is inviting the community to review the documents (which can be found to the right hand side of the screen, under the 'documents' tab) and provide any thoughts and feedback.

This feedback will help to inform the detailed design if the proposed rail trail is to proceed.

The feasibility study is expected to be completed June 30, 2022.
