Consultation has concluded
Rockhampton Regional Council is currently undertaking public consultation for proposed changes to two Subordinate Local Law amendments, including Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2023 and Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2023.
These amendments make changes to Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011 and Local Law No. 5 (Parking) 2011, which are currently in effect.
The purpose and general effect of the proposed subordinate local laws are as follows:
Animal Management (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2023
Amendment of keeping of animal conditions; and
Amendment to requirements for approvals; and
Amendment to minimum standards; and
Amendment to declared off lease areas; and
Inclusion of definition.
Parking (Amendment) Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2023
Amendment of declaration of off-street parking areas; and
Amendment to infringement notice offences and penalties.
Council invites Rockhampton Region residents for public comment about the proposed amendments to these Local Laws.
Submissions must be received on or before 5pm on Friday 24 November 2023 stating:
the grounds of the submission; and
the facts and circumstances relied upon in support of the grounds.
During the consultation period Council will make available for inspection and purchase at Council’s public office at 232 Bolsover Street, Rockhampton, 1 Ranger Street, Gracemere or 32 Hall Street, Mount Morgan copies of the proposed subordinate local laws.
