Why is Rockhampton Regional Council engaging online?
Engage Rockhampton Region is a new tool for Council to engage with the community and to gather feedback to inform the Council’s decision making. We are refreshing our approach to community engagement and while we will continue to engage using more traditional methods of engagement including face to face information sessions, workshops and forums; Engage Rockhampton Region offers the community an opportunity to participate online.
What are the benefits of engaging online?
Engaging online allows you to have a say in the Council’s decision making process in your own time and comfort:
How can I participate in the engagement processes?
If this is your first time visiting Engage Rockhampton Region, you can browse throughout the site, but if you wish to leave a comment, or join in an online discussion you will need to register. To register, simply click on the Register button located in the top right hand corner of the home page. When prompted, create a Username and Password of your choice, provide a valid email address and the location in which you live. If you leave a comment, it will be posted alongside your username so if privacy is a concern for you, we recommend that you create an anonymous username. If you have previously registered, simply click on the Sign In button located on the right hand side of the top tool bar.
Why should I register?
By registering you will receive regular updates about new engagements and ways to get involved. You will also receive regular updates on how your contributions are helping shape the future of the Rockhampton Region and receive important updates, for example, if a submission date is extended. Feedback for all Council projects, initiatives and activities are open to everyone. You can also opt out of the email mailing list at any time.
How do I submit my feedback?
Your feedback can be submitted via the online forums, quick polls and surveys relevant to each of the projects currently open for engagement. To participate, simply register and start sharing your ideas and comments.
Alternatively, you can contact the relevant officer responsible. Their contact details are in the For further information section of each project.
