Why is Rockhampton Regional Council engaging online?

Engage Rockhampton Region is a new tool for Council to engage with the community and to gather feedback to inform the Council’s decision making. We are refreshing our approach to community engagement and while we will continue to engage using more traditional methods of engagement including face to face information sessions, workshops and forums; Engage Rockhampton Region offers the community an opportunity to participate online.

What are the benefits of engaging online?

Engaging online allows you to have a say in the Council’s decision making process in your own time and comfort:

    • You don't have to attend sessions at a set place and time, you can contribute at a time and place that suits you.
    • It is a quick, safe and convenient way to have your say on a range of projects, issues and topics.
    • It is a great way to keep up to date and contribute your views on issues affecting your community.
    • You can see what other community members think about a project, issue or topic, respond with your own views and engage in a discussion.
    • It allows for a range of different people, with different views to discuss matters that impact on their community.

How can I participate in the engagement processes?

If this is your first time visiting Engage Rockhampton Region, you can browse throughout the site, but if you wish to leave a comment, or join in an online discussion you will need to register.
