Amendment to the Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP)

This survey is now closed and the Local Government Infrastructure Plan commenced on 3 March 2020. Thank you to everyone who participated and submitted valuable feedback.
Council has proposed an Interim Amendment to the Local Government Infrastructure Plan (LGIP), and is currently seeking community feedback on the proposed amendment.
Amendments are required from time to time to keep the Local Government Infrastructure Plan up to date and operating effectively. The interim amendment includes a number of changes to reflect changes in demographic forecasts, proposed infrastructure, and changes to project costs and timing.
The overall purpose of the proposed Interim Amendment is to:
· Introduce five service catchments – Parkhurst, North Rockhampton, South Rockhampton, Gracemere and Mount Morgan;
· Update the Planning Assumptions Model for new population and employment projections;
· Update timings for Trunk Infrastructure Projects;
· Update costs associated with Trunk Infrastructure Projects;
· Modify and add new Trunk Infrastructure Projects
· Administrative updates and changes.

Submissions are required by Friday 24 January 2020.
As required by the Planning Act 2016, please state the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of those grounds in the survey below.

In accordance with the Planning Act 2016, Council is required to advertise the proposed planning scheme amendment for a minimum of fifteen (15) days, during which written comments are sought.
Any comments with respect to the proposed Local Government Infrastructure Plan Amendment must:
· Be in writing and signed by each person who made the submission (or made electronically);
· Include the name and address of each person who is making the submission; state a postal address or email address of each person who is making the submission;
· State the grounds of the submission and the facts and circumstances relied on in support of those grounds;
· Be made to Rockhampton Regional Council; and
· Be received by Council on or before Friday 24 January 2020.
